I’ve been wanting to shoot an elopement for quite sometime now, and a few months ago, I finally got to document one! I cannot begin to tell you how excited and out of my mind happy I was to shoot this special day for Rick and Sharlyn. Everything…no really, everything was PERFECT. Sharlyn bought her dress a while back and wanted to book their ceremony location around her dress. LOVE! They decided on Cal-A-Vie in San Diego, CA. The instant I walked onto their grounds I was in love! I can’t even begin to explain how serene and tranquil every little nook and cranny was. Unbelievable. It was, without a doubt, the most perfect place for Rick and Sharlyn’s unforgettable day and fit their vision perfectly. Sharlyn also gave full creative reign to the immensely talented Collette Budd of Brier Rose Design for her bouquet and Rick’s boutonniere. Not even kidding, my jaw dropped when I saw Sharlyn’s bouquet. I mean, I know Collette has this unreal, superhuman flower talent and all, but whoa! I was blown away. Pure perfection.
Afterward, I knew I had to get this beautiful wedding submitted, and Ruffled was it! I was elated and so honored that they featured this perfect day. You can see the feature HERE and also read more on their perfect day on the Ruffled blog. I have been waiting ever so patiently to post this elopement until the Ruffled feature, so, please enjoy the images below of Rick and Sharlyn’s beautiful day!
